Where is UPN?

The gathering is at Church of the Redeemer (COR) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. COR is located off I-270 approximately 15 miles northwest of Washington D.C.

What are the nearby airports?

There are 3 major airports near Gaithersburg, Maryland.The closest major airport is Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). This airport is in Washington, D.C., and is 20 miles from COR. Another major airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), which is in Washington, District of Columbia and is 22 miles from Gaithersburg, MD. What time should I book my arrival and departure?

The conference registration and a reception with light hors d'oeuvres will begin Monday, May 21st at 6 pm. The conference will end Wednesday at noon. It is recommended that you book arrival times by Monday afternoon and plan to depart Wednesday late afternoon.

 

Where should I stay?

We have arranged discounted rates for UPN at the Marriott Courtyard Washingtonian in Gaithersburg.  The Marriott Courtyard is a beautiful hotel in a popular shopping center.  It is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and anything you might need during your stay.

 

Will there be transportation from the hotel to the COR campus?

Yes, we will run Church of the Redeemer shuttle buses from the hotel to our campus in the morning before the beginning of the sessions and back to the hotel at the end of the sessions.

 

Will there be transportation from the hotel to all 3 airports?

Transportation to/from the airports should be arranged with the hotel or airport shuttle services.


Will there be parking available on-site?

Yes, we will have plenty of parking available on site.

 

May I attend only one day of the gathering?

Yes, but you should still fill out a registration form for the whole conference.  Please e-mail or call to let us know which day you plan on coming and this will help us plan for the correct amount of people.

 

When and where do I check-in for the gathering?

The conference registration and check-in will open Monday, May 21st at 6 pm. and again Tuesday, May 22nd at 8 am. As you enter Church of the Redeemer, there will be signs to guide you to the correct entrance.  When you enter the buildling, you will be shown to the check-in area.

 

Can I switch names on my registration?

Does the conference provide childcare?

While families are important to us, our gatherings are adult only events.

 

Do you have wireless internet available?

We will have free Wi-Fi access available in the conference room where most of the event takes place.

 

What should I wear?

The conference attire is casual.

 

What should the weather be like?

The average high in Gaithersburg during the month of May is 72-75 degrees with an average low of 62-65 degrees. Temperature variations tend to be moderate.
